Name Meaning: First- Bright and Beautiful, Last- Red Lotus

Nicknames: Red Beauty& Red Bloom- These are names his friends have given him while they
were growing up together mainly because he has very low self-esteem and blushes so often he is almost constantly red even if he knows the person fairly well.

Age: 17

Occupation: Librarian in town, part time waiter, and other small jobs when extra money is needed- Akemi is an extremely hard worker and sometimes is known to work himself senseless, because of his tendency to do this he often needs friends to help keep him calm. He will only do one of the smaller jobs when asked to unless the person is obviously in need of help.

Class year: Sophomore- He was held back as a sophomore at his old school, and upon moving to Tokyo from Sendai, Japan was told about the academy and enrolled.

Personality: Akemi is extremely shy but attempts to hide it by acting very formal,
sometimes causing him to come across as stuck up and rude. This part of his personality mostly comes out in groups, but if given the chance to speak to people one on one he will often open the conversation with an apology while explaining why he acted the way he did. Akemi will often leave an area without any warning if he becomes angry or overwhelmed so nobody will see him cry. He refuses to ever hit anybody because of his past. He will often take a severe beating without lifting so much as a finger to stop whomever it is.

Likes: He likes almost any type of junk food and often carries a sandwich baggy full of Pocky with him just in case he gets a craving. Anime, Manga, and Cosplay are his favorite hobbies, so he will most likely have his face buried in a Manga volume most times. He also tends to read other books such as long novels or series he hears about that sounds interesting to him. Electronics Mainly his laptop are with him every day all day If he can’t find them he tends to start freaking out and searches in other areas sometimes looking in the same area two or more times. Music is his escape if he isn’t reading manga or on his laptop you will often catch him with his headphones in, they are ear-bud style headphones because he doesn’t like the feeling of something covering his ears fully.

Dislikes: He hates spicy food because his stomach is very easily upset from extreme amounts of seasonings and spices. Akemi also has an extreme dislike for know-it-alls and people who can’t admit that they are wrong about something.

History: Akemi was born in Sendai Japan into a family that was fairly well off as far as money was concerned. By the age of 10 he was told by his father (an extremely wealthy businessman) that within the next 5 years he needed to decide what he wanted to do with his life, it was on this exact same day his mother (A leading scientist in new transportation fuel development) had finally caught up with her paperwork and decided to take him to a local library where he discovered how smart he really was. Little did he realize his mother was using this time to figure out just how smart he was for herself. His mother was pleasantly surprised to find he was reading much better than most kids his age. Over the next 5 years Akemi continued to return to that very same library and eventually was hired as a full time librarian due to the fact he began to know the library better than the librarians themselves. Because of his ability to organize things quickly and effectively plus his passion for reading and his ability to get others interested in reading he began to be paid very well. His mother was thrilled that he had found something he was passionate about and was being paid to do it, his father however was less than enthusiastic  about his disapproval of his sons’ job. Two years later Akemi and his mother moved from their old home in Sendai to a new one in Tokyo. He was constantly getting into trouble and losing his temper mainly due to the fact that people would tease him about his now deceased father. Even though they’d had their arguments he still missed him and when anybody said even on cross word about his father he lost his temper to the point of blacking out. It was while he was working at the new library he had applied to in Tokyo that he was asked if he knew about a local academy known as Shigeo Academy. He responded to the question with a no but then asked what the stranger knew about it. He enrolled in the academy at the first chance he got.

Appearance: Akemi is 5’5” and has a small frame. He weighs 138lbs and can be easily noticed by his walking as he tends to walk extremely quickly weather he is being rushed or not. He has been known to crossdress on occasion mainly when he is feeling depressed or working in a library. He has Black hair that comes just below his shoulders. When working in a library of any type  he tends to wear an ankle length skirt with a blouse, white knee highs, and a pair of half inch heels. His hair will also be tied up in a ponytail or in a bun. He is normally seen wearing sleeveless shirts and cargo pants. When he crossdresses he will normally wear ankle length dresses with knee highs and flats or heels, he will also be very shy and dought any compliment somebody gives him.
